Google Play Store Gets Minimalist Makeover with Triangle Logo
Google has quietly rolled out a new logo for its Play Store app on Android devices. The updated design, first spotted on Google's Pixel phone, ditches the shopping bag icon and instead features a colorful triangle as the primary logo. This change is part of Google's efforts to refine the Play brand and create a cohesive visual identity tied to its material design aesthetic.
The new logo looks similar to other Google apps, such as Music, Books, and Games, which also feature a clean and minimalistic design. In addition to the updated logo, Google has also redesigned the notification icons in the app, removing the shopping bag icon from the design.
These changes are part of Google's recent updates to its Play Store app, including improvements to deleting old apps and the introduction of a free app every week.
