Google Pours €13 Billion into Finland's Digital Infrastructure
Google has announced plans to invest at least €13 billion in Finland's digital infrastructure over the next two years, its largest single investment in Europe to date. This initiative aims to enhance various data centers and supporting infrastructure in locations such as Hamina, Kajaani, Muhos, and Vala.
The move is a strategic one for Google, bolstering its digital infrastructure and supporting clean energy projects. A dedicated fund will be established to support nature and community initiatives, which will aid local biodiversity preservation, education, research, and talent development.
Alphabet Inc, the parent company of Google, operates within the Communication Services sector, with a market capitalization of approximately $4.12 trillion. The company derives nearly 90% of its revenue from Google services, predominantly through advertising sales.
