Microsoft Store Reopens to Syrian Users with Caveats
Some Syrian internet users have regained access to the Microsoft Store, according to recent reports. Users can now open the store, browse apps and games, download and install them, and update software through their Syrian internet connections.
This change is a departure from previous years, when users in Syria often had to rely on virtual private networks (VPNs) or connections outside the country to access Microsoft services.
However, not all users have regained access. Some are still unable to use certain features of the store, and availability may be introduced gradually depending on internet providers or account settings.
The easing of US restrictions on Syria has given international companies an opportunity to review which products and services they can provide to Syrian users.
