Google restructures Search Central YouTube content into two learning paths
Google has reorganized its Search Central YouTube channel into two structured learning paths for different audiences. The first track is designed for beginners in SEO, covering core concepts like crawling, indexing, and using Search Console. The second track targets developers and technical SEO specialists, focusing on site health, crawl budget optimization, and debugging at scale. Both paths aim to simplify learning from the hundreds of videos previously scattered across various series.
The beginner track includes three main sections: an introduction to how search works, getting started with Search Console, and using tools like Google Trends for content insights. The technical track dives into topics such as crawl directives, indexing issues, and rendering considerations, though it does not directly address recent policy changes like the 2026 crawling updates.
Notably absent from the new collections are references to AI Overviews or AI Mode, despite their significance in recent search performance reporting. The post also lacks details on video counts, publication dates, or future tutorial schedules. Google encourages viewers to save, share, and subscribe to these curated playlists for ongoing learning.
Daniel Waisberg, a Search Advocate at Google, authored the announcement. He is part of the Search Relations team and leads developer-facing features like the URL Inspection API. The reorganization reflects Google's effort to make its educational resources more accessible, though it does not introduce any new tools or features.
