Google Roasts Rivals in Teaser for Pixel Watch 5

Google has released a teaser video for its upcoming Pixel Watch 5, set to launch on August 12. The company is also releasing a new series of smartphones, known as the Pixel 11 series. In a lighthearted jab at competitors Apple and Samsung, Google pokes fun at their design choices, emphasizing the traditional circular aesthetic of its smartwatch.

The promotional video highlights the Pixel Watch 5's health and fitness tracking capabilities, featuring an analog clock face on the screen. Google notes that the device 'still has the decency to look like a watch', comparing it favorably to the rectangular displays of Apple Watches and Samsung's Galaxy Watches with their hybrid 'squircle' housing.

This is not the first time Google has playfully teased its competitors; in previous videos, the company has engaged in friendly banter with iPhones on various features. The Pixel Watch 5 retains the design of its predecessor and comes equipped with Gemini Intelligence.
