Google Rolls Out AI-Powered Ad Solutions, Retires Legacy Formats
Google continues to enhance its AI capabilities by introducing new features and models. One such feature is AI Max, which allows advertisers to track their Search Ads from start to finish in a unified reporting system within Google Ads. This aims to make it easier for advertisers to evaluate the value of the platform's AI tool.
AI Max combines advertiser input with data signals to help find untapped queries, offering more advanced controls and precision than its predecessor, Dynamic Search Ads (DSA). The shift towards AI-powered solutions has become apparent in Cisco Systems' survey results, which show that 75% of IT and network professionals have already deployed AI for network operations.
Google also expanded its ad platform globally in seven new languages, powered by Gemini. Advertisers can now direct campaign messaging, creative guidelines, and audience targeting in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Additionally, two new text-to-speech models have been introduced to the Gemini family, enabling creators to design more expressive audio experiences.
The retirement of legacy ad formats is underway, with Dynamic Search Ads being updated to AI Max. The official retirement and final automatic migration will begin in February 2027.
