Google Rolls Out Major Pixel Buds Update with New Features

Google is rolling out a major software update for its Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a, introducing several new features designed to enhance user experience. The update, version 6.144, promises AI-powered upgrades and improvements tailored for various scenarios, from travel to commuting and sleeping. "We are beyond excited to roll out a massive new software release_6.144 for your Pixel Buds, packed with highly anticipated features and AI-powered upgrades," Google stated on the Pixel Buds Help website.

The update includes Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation for Pixel Buds Pro 2, which adjusts audio or noise cancellation based on the ear seal. Additionally, both Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a will support Enhanced Live Translate, allowing instant live translation via the Google Translate app without needing to take out your phone. Users can also change audio settings with their voice using Gemini voice commands.

Other new features include the ability to tap to mute during calls and auto-pause media while sleeping. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a will integrate with the sleep sensing features in Pixel Watch to pause audio playback, turn off touch gestures, and silence notifications when the user falls asleep. The update will install automatically once it becomes available.
