Google Scores Big with NFL Season Kickoff Features

Google has rolled out several new features to enhance its NFL coverage on Search. The company is now providing live game feeds, fantasy football advice, and improved stats pages for fans.

The Live Game Feed feature allows users to follow along with game developments in real-time. Active games will display a 'Live' icon in search results, which, when selected, shows a recap of the game's progress, including dynamic timelines, play-by-play updates, top social commentary, key video highlights, and AI-powered insights.

In addition, Google has introduced a new carousel display that showcases other ongoing games whenever users search for a specific matchup. This feature is available globally on mobile devices.

The company has also improved its stats pages to provide player-specific performance metrics, including rushing yards, sacks, and YAC (yards after contact). Favorability metrics will be added soon.
