Amazon's Cloud Computing Empire Set to Fuel Stock Surge
Amazon's stock has been one of the greatest investments in recent history. If you had invested $10,000 into Amazon's stock 25 years ago and held on to it, your position would be worth over $6 million today.
The company's business is shifting from e-commerce to cloud computing, with its cloud computing wing, Amazon Web Services (AWS), taking center stage. AWS revenue rose 37% year-over-year in the second quarter, more than double the pace of its North American commerce segment and international business.
By 2030, AWS is expected to account for an even larger share of Amazon's total operating profits, leading to a rising total profit margin that will push the stock higher. A conservative estimate projects AWS revenue at $483 billion by 2030, with operating profits reaching $190 billion.
This growth potential could result in Amazon's market cap increasing from its current $2.8 trillion to over $6.5 trillion, making it a top stock to buy right now.
