Google Seeks EU Court Intervention Over Search Data Sharing Ruling

Google has asked an EU court to suspend a ruling that requires it to open its search data to rival AI chatbots and search engines.

The company, which is part of Alphabet, filed a request for an interim measure at the Luxembourg General Court on September 30.

This move comes after the European Commission ordered Google to share its search data in July, citing concerns that it risks undermining vital privacy and security guardrails for millions of Europeans.

Google has criticized the measure, saying it will harm users' privacy and security.
