Google Tests Direct Flipkart Purchases Through Gemini in India

Google has started testing a feature in India that allows users to buy selected products from Flipkart's marketplace directly through Gemini and AI Mode.

The test is currently limited to some users and only includes a small number of products, such as smartphones, electronics, and mobile accessories.

When the 'Buy' button is clicked next to a Flipkart listing, it opens a marketplace-branded checkout process powered by Flipkart itself.

The feature is part of Google's efforts to help people find and interact with businesses, and the company plans to roll out the capability more broadly later in October, ahead of India's holiday shopping season.
