Google Tests New Search Bar Design Without I'm Feeling Lucky Button

Google is testing a new look for its search bar, and it appears that the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button may be on its way out. The company has been experimenting with different designs and features in recent months.

The change was spotted by Khushal Bherwani, who posted about it on X (formerly Twitter). It's not clear how widespread this test is or whether the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button will be removed permanently.

Interestingly, Google actually tested replacing the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button with an AI Mode button back in May 2025. At that time, users were given the option to switch between a traditional search interface and one powered by artificial intelligence.
