Google is revamping the appearance of paid games on its Play Store. According to reports from Android Authority, the tech giant has been working on a new user interface (UI) for paid game listings that will give them more visual distinction.

The current UI features a white background and includes imagery of the game at the top. However, the upcoming design has a black background with larger game imagery that blends better with the phone's status bar, making the listing feel more immersive.

While this new UI is visually appealing, it appears to be missing some essential features such as download size and download count. It's unclear whether these details will be included in the final version or if they're intentionally omitted for testing purposes.

The release date of this new UI remains uncertain, but experts speculate that Google may eventually roll it out as a way to differentiate paid games from free ones, similar to Apple's approach with its App Store and Apple Arcade.
