Google Touts Gemini App as Game-Changer for Productivity
Google has launched a campaign to promote its AI-powered Gemini app, which aims to help users save time by streamlining and automating tasks. The 'Look What You Can Do' campaign features four spots starring creators who demonstrate how they use Gemini in their daily lives.
The ads highlight relatable tips and tricks, such as taking a photo of a dealership price sheet to negotiate a better car deal or using Gemini and Search to gain discounts. Another spot shows how to research and organize apartment listings into a Google Doc.
The campaign is supported by production company Arts & Sciences and directed by Mike Warzin. It will run across national broadcast, digital, and out-of-home (OOH) platforms. The move comes as Google transitions from Google Assistant on Android devices, with the shutdown scheduled to begin on September 4, 2026.
According to Aswin Jagadeesh, a Google product expert, this change marks 'a major ecosystem shift' that brings massive upgrades, including the upcoming 'Gemini Spark' agent system. This new system will allow phones and home devices to naturally understand context, manage complex schedules, and coordinate with apps without requiring specific phrasing.
