Google TV Streamer Owners Reclaim Lost Storage Space with Simple Tweaks
Google TV Streamer owners may find themselves running low on storage space due to various culprits, not just installed apps and games. According to Android Police's Jade Bryan, who has over a decade of tech review experience, leftover downloads from sideloading apps through a web browser can take up significant space.
Bryan discovered that dozens of installation packages and APKs he had downloaded but never cleared out had racked up 2GB of his device's memory. He also found a bulky movie file claiming 2GB on its own, as well as a redundant duplicate that failed to transfer.
To manage storage space, Bryan recommends using a third-party file browser or the built-in Google TV tool. The latter includes an integrated memory management tool similar to Amazon Fire OS for quickly clearing app cache and reclaiming valuable local space.
