Google TV Streamer Price Hikes Amid Chip Shortages

The Google TV Streamer, a streaming device released in 2024, has received a substantial price increase. It now costs $149.99 in both Porcelain and Hazel colors, up from its previous price of $99.99.

This change was implemented on the Google Store, with Best Buy also increasing the price to match. However, Amazon has not yet updated its pricing, still listing the device at $99.

The reason for the price hike is attributed to RAM and chip shortages caused by AI demands.
