Google Unveils Advanced Dialogue Models with Gemini 3.8 Live

Google has announced Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, its most advanced live dialogue models to date.

The new models are designed for scale and cost efficiency, combining conversational intelligence with fluid dialogue and visual grounding, according to Google's Tom Ouyang and Malini Jaganathan.

Gemini 3.8 Live is built for everyday tasks, while Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking is designed for high-complexity tasks, such as multi-step reasoning and near real-time reasoning.

The two new models are available now to developers in the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, to the enterprise in Gemini Enterprise, and to everyone via Google Search Live.
