Google Unveils AI-Driven Travel Features
Google is rolling out three new travel features within AI Mode in Google Search. These features include tracking flight prices, viewing points or miles rates, and booking hotels directly within AI Mode through conversational search.
Hotel booking in AI Mode has rolled out in the U.S. in English and will be available over the coming weeks with partners including Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Flight price tracking allows users to not only find prices for flights but also set up price tracking for those flights. Google AI Mode can be the user's AI agent and track flight prices over time, sending an alert when the price hits their target.
The points and miles feature shows the cost of hotels and flights in points or miles using partners' data. This is now globally available for Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
