Google Unveils Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar

Google has rolled out Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, a feature that combines live dialogue models with near real-time video generation to create a visible, expressive presence in enterprise chatbots.

The Live Avatar technology supports 97 languages and can run background tool calls while maintaining uninterrupted conversation flow.

Enterprises can customize their avatars by building custom ones from high-quality reference images that preserve brand identity or likeness.

The feature is currently available inside Gemini Enterprise, with API documentation published for developers to start building with it.
