Google Unveils Gemini 4 Argon: A Frontier Model for Complex Workflows
Google has announced its new frontier model, Gemini 4 Argon, which is being rolled out to trusted cyber defenders through the Fairwind Program. The model is designed to sustain deep reasoning across complex, long-horizon workflows and has already been powering internal Google workflows.
Gemini 4 Argon is being used for tasks such as quantum algorithmic optimization, where it helped researchers optimize subroutines by 40% in minutes. It's also being used for memory efficiency, with agents analyzing profiling telemetry to identify and apply memory optimizations across Google's data centers, freeing up over 300 TiB of memory.
The model is launching at an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens priced at 95% off the input token price. Google is also strengthening critical frontier safeguards to prevent misuse and improve robustness against prompt injection attacks.
