Google Unveils Gemini 4 Argon, a High-Performance AI Model
Google has released its first flagship AI model since February, called Gemini 4 Argon. According to Google, this model outperforms others in tasks such as long-horizon coding, finance, legal work, and video understanding.
The access to the model is currently limited to select cyber defenders and internal teams of Google while they test the safeguards. However, broader access will be granted starting with paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers, although no public release date has been given.
Google claims that Argon is competitive with OpenAI's Astra and Anthropic's Opus 5.5 in coding, enterprise work, and cybersecurity tasks. The pricing for the model is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input priced 95% lower.
