Google Unveils Gemini 4 Argon AI Model for Cybersecurity Partners
Google has launched Gemini 4 Argon, its next-generation AI model, to its cybersecurity partners under the Fairwinds program. This move keeps Google in the forefront of the AI model race, which also includes companies like Anthropic and OpenAI.
The launch comes as these competitors are urging caution on the pace of AI development. However, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai is confident in Gemini 4 Argon's capabilities. In a post on X, he noted that it 'shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering.'
According to Google, Gemini 4 Argon has already been extensively used by teams within the company for tasks such as coding, quantum computing, and more.
The model's pricing is competitive with other leading AI models. It costs $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens discounted at 95% off the original price.
