Google Unveils Gemini 4 Argon with 1 Million-Token Output Limit
Google has introduced Gemini 4 Argon, its latest frontier AI model designed for complex tasks in software engineering, enterprise knowledge work, finance, legal applications, and cybersecurity defense. The company is initially rolling out Argon to a group of trusted cyber defenders through its Fairwind Program while taking a phased approach to broader access.
The model's output limit has increased from 64,000 to 1 million tokens, giving Argon substantially more capacity for long-running reasoning and generation tasks. Google reported that thousands of employees are already using Argon internally for specialized coding, research, and writing tasks.
Argon is priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with a 95% discount on cached input tokens from the standard input-token price. The company plans to expand access to developers, enterprises, and consumers after further testing of its safeguards.
