Google has unveiled its new Gemini 3.8 Live AI model, which features a 'Live Avatar' that brings a real-time visual presence to conversational AI.

The Live Avatar uses near real-time video generation paired with speech to create an experience where the AI listens, sees, and speaks with a dynamic visual persona.

This feature is aimed at making digital exchanges more interactive, whether it's providing customer service or delivering walkthroughs.

Google also announced Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS models this week to improve audio capabilities.
