Google Unveils Live Voice Conversations for Gmail, Docs, and Keep

Google has rolled out Live Voice Conversations for its Gmail, Docs, and Keep apps, allowing users to interact with their digital workspaces in a more conversational way. The new features integrate Gemini audio models, enabling users to ask questions, write documents, and manage tasks using natural speech.

The update replaces traditional search bars and blank pages with a chat-like interface that listens to natural speech, processes context, and allows users to interrupt or switch topics without losing track of previous statements. This change aims to make productivity more efficient and user-friendly.

Gmail Live allows users to ask direct questions about their email history, such as tracking down flight gate numbers or event details. The tool provides a real-time transcript alongside direct links pointing to the source emails, eliminating the need for manual searching through lengthy reply chains.
