Google has introduced several new features for its Demand Gen ads platform, aimed at improving user experience and driving business results. One of the key updates is AI-powered assistance on YouTube, which will enable viewers to ask questions about products shown in a video without leaving playback.

This feature, called 'Ask YouTube', will be available alongside product feeds in-stream, allowing users to get more information about products they are interested in.

Google is also rolling out single-tap image ads on YouTube Shorts and Gmail, providing advertisers with more ways to drive response from their promotions. On average, advertisers who add Gmail to their Demand Gen campaigns see a 40% increase in conversions at the same ROI.

The platform is also introducing affiliate location extensions in Google Maps, which will enable businesses to promote their location in map displays and drive interest from local consumers.
