Google Unveils New Health Guardian Features in Google Health App
Google has rolled out new health and safety tools in its Google Health app. The features are available for Pixel Watch users, who can track their blood pressure trends, insulin resistance, and sleep breathing quality metrics. These tools are included free with the latest Pixel Watch devices.
The new Health Guardian features use clinical research to continuously monitor subtle physiological shifts over time. They also include a first-of-its-kind Breathing Emergency Detection feature for Pixel Watch 4 and 5 users in select European countries. This feature can automatically prompt emergency services if a user experiences severe drops in blood oxygen.
The new features are only available on certain devices and may require a subscription to the Google Health Premium service. Users should consult a healthcare professional before relying on these tools for medical advice, as they are intended for general wellness purposes only.
