Google Unveils Premium Laptop Category Googlebook With Deep Android Integration
Google has launched a new premium laptop category called Googlebook, built on Android technology and paired with ChromeOS desktop foundations. The lineup includes flagship devices from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, featuring high-end Intel and Qualcomm processors, dedicated NPUs, and up to 14 hours of battery life.
The laptops are designed to be deeply integrated with an Android phone, allowing users to resume tasks directly from the laptop taskbar, access phone files and photos, and stream individual apps into a desktop window. The devices also run on Gemini Intelligence, a suite of features that includes Magic Pointer, Rambler, and Create My Widget.
Googlebook is positioned as a full computing platform, pairing the Chrome browser with millions of Android apps, including native creative tools like Adobe Photoshop and CapCut. Streaming apps like Netflix and HBO Max support offline viewing, and developers get a full terminal environment alongside Google's Antigravity AI agent platform.
