Google Unveils Redesigned Pixel VIP Experience

Google is rolling out the Pixel VIPs redesign announced in the September Pixel Drop. The update brings faster VIP switching, reorganizes local updates, and refreshes the interface with Material 3 Expressive styling.

The redesigned VIP page now features a new floating navigation strip at the bottom that allows users to swipe between VIPs without backing out to the widget first. Users can also jump straight to someone by tapping their profile picture in the strip.

Google has reorganized the VIP page itself, with 'local updates' including weather and time sitting near the top instead of below 'Last connection.' The weather and time cards now have a more pronounced background, making them easier to spot at a glance.
