Google Wallet Gets Direct Parent-Child Money Transfers

Google has expanded its Google Wallet service to allow parents in the US to send money directly to their children. This update builds on existing features, including minors being able to add a credit card to a parent's Google account, which is supervised via Family Link parental controls. The new feature allows kids and teens under 18 to receive money and includes scheduled automated payments.

The addition also enables parents to set daily spending limits and view transaction history or receive push notifications about account activity. Guardians can now lock or unlock the balance remotely. This update is part of Alphabet Inc.'s efforts to enhance parental controls in Google Wallet.
