Googlebook OS Closely Mirrors macOS Features
Google's latest OS, Googlebook, has been making waves in the tech world. The operating system was released earlier this week and is built on top of Android. In a recent video demo, Google showcased some of the key features of Googlebook, including its trackpad and windowing gestures.
The gestures demonstrated in the video are strikingly similar to those found in macOS. For example, the three-finger-up gesture brings up an overview of open tasks, while dragging windows from their title bar allows users to multitask and switch between applications easily.
Googlebook also supports multiple desktops, similar to macOS, where apps can go full-screen and hide the taskbar. This feature is ideal for gaming or video playback, as it minimizes distractions.
