Googlebook's Free Trial Bundle Turns Out to Be a Costly Trap
The Googlebook's free trial bundle has ended, and users are being hit with steep renewal costs. The initial package included Google AI Pro with 5TB of cloud storage, NVIDIA's GeForce NOW cloud gaming, and the Luminar photo editor for a year, as well as three-month trials of YouTube Premium, Adobe Photoshop, BandLab Pro, and CapCut Pro.
The total cost of the bundle was $748, rivaling a base-model Googlebook. However, users will be charged individually for each service after the trial period ends, with prices ranging from $8 to $16 per month. This means that the annual cost can add up quickly, especially if you don't use all the services.
The most concerning aspect of this is the 5TB of cloud storage provided by Google AI Pro. While it may seem like a lot, users who dump terabytes of personal files into the cloud will be shocked to find that their account drops to 15GB when the free year ends. This can lead to serious problems with Gmail, Google Photos, and Drive.
