Google's CC Transforms into Family AI Assistant

Google's CC has been revamped as an AI agent for families. The reworked platform now features its own Google account, allowing up to six household members to work with it. Each individual can control which emails the agent sees.

CC sends a daily morning brief to the group, detailing tasks and schedules. It also creates a shared calendar and task list that are updated as plans change. The AI assistant can even take on certain household chores, such as filling out permission slips or planning meals.

The platform relies on a narrow permissions model for privacy. Members must approve senders before CC reads their emails. Each individual has a weekly private list of new senders to review and either approve or ignore.

According to Google Labs, deleting an email in Gmail does not remove it from CC's memory. To clear this data, members need to delete their CC account. Additionally, groups cannot drop single members after they join, requiring the deletion of the entire group if roster changes are necessary.
