Google's DeepMind Division Preps for Gemini 4 Launch

Google's DeepMind division is nearing the release of its latest artificial intelligence model, Gemini 4. This announcement was made by Koray Kavukcuoglu, the head of Google DeepMind, at The Information's AI Agenda Live Summit. According to Kavukcuoglu, the development phase for Gemini 4 is currently in its early stages of post-training, where the base AI model is refined to ensure reliable performance.

Kavukcuoglu expects Gemini 4 to launch 'much earlier' than the end of the year. This comes as Google tries to catch up with competitors in the AI market and follows an increase in popularity of AI products in September.
