Google's Desktop Discover Feature Vanishes Amid Global Rollout
Google's Discover feature on desktop has gone missing for several months now. The feature was first tested in 2023 and then rolled out to some countries in 2025, but it never seemed to stick around long.
In May last year, users could see the Discover feed on Google.com when they visited the website. However, as of now, only a big search box and white space are visible.
According to Damien Andell, Google X 'shut down' the feature in all countries where it was working. He provided lists of countries that had the feature working as of June 2026 and those where it no longer worked by September 2026.
