Google's Gemini AI Gets Human-Like Personality Settings

Google is further humanizing its AI assistant Gemini by introducing new settings that allow users to customize its voice and speech style. The feature, found in the beta version of the Google app code 17.41.12, will enable users to adjust four main aspects: Speed, Energy, Formality, and Warmth.

The customization menu is designed to make interactions with AI feel more natural and personal. Users can choose from different settings for each parameter, allowing them to tailor Gemini's speech style to their preferences. For example, when planning a vacation or having a casual conversation, users can lower the level of formality and increase the warmth so that the conversation feels more familiar.

The feature will not only be available in regular conversation mode but also in Gemini Live, where the voice character chosen by the user will be used consistently. This means that the experience of interacting with AI becomes more personal without having to reset it every time you use the service.
