Google's Gemini Surpasses 1 Billion Monthly Users Amid AI Assistant Wars

Google's Gemini AI assistant has reached a significant milestone of 1 billion monthly active users. This achievement marks the company's 14th product to reach this milestone, and CEO Sundar Pichai calls it 'the fastest-growing' ever.

The user base for Gemini is diverse, with 63% preferring voice interaction over typing prompts. Busy parents are more likely to use voice commands for everyday tasks, at a rate of 43%. The tool also facilitates screen sharing and live camera feeds in one in five interactions.

Gemini's image generation tool has become increasingly popular among small businesses, generating around 150 million images daily. Over 100 million of Gemini's monthly active users are Apple Inc. users, who use the app twice as much as those on other platforms.
