Google's Health Guardian Rolls Out to Fitbit Air and Pixel Watch Owners
Google's Health Guardian feature has started rolling out to all Fitbit Air and Pixel Watch owners, providing monthly health reports. The first batch of reports was released in October, after a full month of collected data from September.
Rita, a senior features editor at Android Police, received her report and found it accurate, with the system detecting her high blood pressure, insulin resistance, and sleep breathing issues.
The Health Guardian report provides three new metrics: insulin resistance, blood pressure, and sleep breathing quality. It also includes existing health signals such as heart rate notifications, irregular rhythm notifications, and ECG measures.
Rita praised the feature, saying it's an excellent addition to Pixel Watch and Fitbit Air users, providing valuable insights into their health. She noted that the information is sparse at first but accurate, and she hopes it will encourage people to take action if they receive a bad signal.
