Google's Hyper-Personalized 'Dreambeans' Feed Now Free to Test
Google has made its hyper-personalized 'Dreambeans' feed available for free to test, removing the requirement of a subscription. This experimental app, part of Google Labs, uses Google's Personal Intelligence system to learn users' interests by analyzing their Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Workspace, Search history, and YouTube activity.
The app distills information from connected apps, including Calendar, Gmail, Photos, Search, YouTube, and Gemini. It suggests topics to explore, things to try, places to visit, and interesting events, with new stories arriving every morning.
Instead of using stock imagery, Dreambeans uses Nano Banana 2-generated artwork that uses an illustrated style. Users can tap on a story to see a longer description and link to relevant content online. The app also features a chat interface for users to provide more details or ask questions.
