Google's Latest Smartphone Upgrade Falls Short of Expectations

The latest smartphone from Google is the Pixel 11 Pro, but it's not a must-have upgrade for everyone. In a comparison review by Android Central, the new device was pitted against its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro.

The design of both phones is nearly identical, with only slight differences in size and weight. The Pixel 11 Pro has a slightly smaller battery but supports faster Qi 2.2 charging speeds up to 25W. Both devices have IP68 dust and water resistance.

The display on both phones is also similar, with the same 6.3-inch OLED panel and HDR10+ support. However, the Pixel 11 Pro's screen gets slightly brighter in outdoor use.

In terms of performance, the Tensor G6 chip powering the Pixel 11 Pro is faster than its predecessor, but it's still not ideal for gaming. Battery life on both phones is similar, with the Pixel 9 Pro limited to standard 12W Qi charging speeds.

The camera on the Pixel 11 Pro is slightly improved, with better photo and video quality. However, software features like Camera Looks and Magic Capture are what truly set it apart from its predecessor.
