Google's Pixel Devices Get Minor Updates, Bigger Price Tags

Google's latest Pixel devices have been unveiled, but they're not making much of an impact. The updates are minor at best, and the ongoing component crisis has led to cost increases across the board.

The new lineup includes the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold, each $100 more expensive than their predecessors. While this might not be terrible news, it's a far cry from what fans of the brand were expecting.

One major downer is that base Pixel Pro models now come with only 12 GB of RAM, a downgrade from last year. To get 16 GB of RAM, you'll need to upgrade to 512 GB of storage, which raises the price by $120 in each case.

The lack of meaningful hardware upgrades is also concerning, particularly when it comes to the camera system. The Pro phones get 120X Super Zoom, but the main lens, ultrawide lens, and telephoto lens are identical year-over-year.
