Google's Smartest Gemini Features Now Exclusive to Top Android Phones
Google has quietly added seven Android phones to its developer documentation as supporting Gemini Nano 4, a requirement for some of its newest on-device AI features.
The list includes Google's Pixel 11 series and Samsung's latest Galaxy Z foldables, including the Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Features such as Gboard's Rambler and Create My Widget increasingly depend on newer hardware, potentially leaving older phones behind.
Google has already made it clear that Gemini Intelligence is a premium experience, requiring 12GB or more of RAM, a qualified SoC, on-device Gemini Nano support, and lengthy software and security commitments.
