Android Auto users have been experiencing issues with the media player's progress bar. The redesigned media player, which features a squiggly line to represent the progress of music or podcasts, was initially rolled out by Google in January. However, some users are now reporting that the wavy progress bar has disappeared when using Spotify in full-screen mode.

This is not the first time the progress bar has been affected by a bug. In the past, it briefly vanished due to an issue and then returned after being restored for everyone. The current problem only seems to occur when using Spotify in full-screen mode, as the wavy line returns when switching to split-screen view.

Users on Reddit have shared their thoughts on the disappearance of the squiggly progress bar, with some expressing relief that it's gone and others defending Google's visual choice. Android Authority has reached out to Google for comment on the issue but has not received a response yet.
