Grand Floridian Still Missing Out on Exclusive Soda Flavor
The Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of the most popular hotels in Walt Disney World, known for its Victorian-era elegance and modern luxury. However, despite offering many perks to its guests, such as close proximity to the Magic Kingdom and signature dining locations, it still lacks one major perk.
One of the perks that Disney resort guests can enjoy is grabbing a resort refillable mug, which allows them to get free refills on fountain drinks, coffee, and tea throughout their trip. But what sets some resorts apart from others is their own specialty drink flavor, available exclusively at their Freestyle machines.
At the Island Tower near Wailulu Bar & Grill, guests can find a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine with an exclusive flavor called Island Time Fizz, which has flavors reminiscent of passionfruit, orange, and guava mixed with a hint of lemon and lime from Sprite. However, surprisingly, this unique flavor is not available at the Grand Floridian's own quick-service location, Gasparilla Island Grill.
When asked about what exclusive flavor they'd like to see at the Grand Floridian, some members of the Disney Food Blog team suggested flavors similar to Citrus Swirl, which used to be found at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom. Another suggestion was a mac and cheese flavored soda, inspired by Gasparilla Island Grill's famous mac and cheese.
