Grand Island Police Arrest Two in Home Depot Parking Lot Drug Bust

On September 28th at 1:18 a.m., Grand Island Police arrested two individuals in the Home Depot parking lot for drug-related offenses.

According to Chief Dean Elliott, officers noticed a vehicle parked near plants in the north part of the parking lot and conducted an investigation. The officer found one ounce of methamphetamine, which is enough to be distributed and sold, along with scales, baggies, and smoking pipes associated with drug distribution.

Paul Eckstrom, 44, of Lincoln was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Misty Cestarich, 49, of Grand Island was also arrested for the same felony possession charge as well as tampering with physical evidence. Upon being booked into jail, it was discovered that she had additional drug pipes and a digital scale.
