Greek Golden Visa Queue Shrinks by 7% After Two-Month Decline
Greece has seen a decline in its Golden Visa queue, with a reduction of 7% in family-member files and 8.2% in investor files over two months.
The Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum's May report showed that the number of pending permanent-investor files fell by 822 to 9,210, while family-member files decreased by 1,796 to 23,841.
The investor inventory decline accounts for only a small portion of the total queue, which still consists mainly of family applications at around 72%.
Most of the pending files were submitted in 2024 and 2025, with 22,284 applications still awaiting decision. The remaining pending files from 2022 and 2023 amount to 1,922.
The report also showed that authorities issued nearly 3,000 investor decisions across March, April, and May, including 1,446 in March alone.
