Green Bay Resident Alana J. Van Laanen Passes Away

Alana J. Van Laanen, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay on September 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 16, 1947, to Melvin and Margaret (Poulter) Kaster, Alana grew up in Green Bay and was a proud graduate of Green Bay West High School. She had a long and dedicated career at Procter & Gamble, retiring after many years.

Alana's family described her as an outdoor enthusiast who loved watching birds and butterflies, especially during the fall season. Her beloved Bichon, Riley, was always by her side. Every week, Alana would embark on adventures with her best friend Jan Deneys, sometimes accompanied by their mutual friend Mary Lou Baron.

Alana is survived by her children, Stacey (Clint) Spencer-Zuleger and Clint (Trina) Van Laanen; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, relatives, and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for their exceptional care.
