Green Takes Center Stage in 2027 Color Trend
The color trend for 2027 is leaning towards green, with various shades and moods emerging across multiple forecasts. Green is being seen as a way to connect with nature and create a sense of calmness in spaces. Behr's 'Grounded' and Sherwin-Williams/HGTV Home's 'Celery' are two distinct greens that point towards this broader appetite for natural, familiar, and steady interiors.
According to Behr's survey, 77% of Americans turn to nature when life feels chaotic, while 86% said home projects help them create a place to retreat and recharge. This suggests the pull towards green may be less about biophilia as a design trend and more about what people want spaces to do for them.
The Color Marketing Group has also identified green as a key color across various regions, including Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe. Each region's direction shows visual differences, but together they propose a collective desire for clarity, regeneration, and intentional forms of energy.
