The 169th Fighter Wing has introduced group fitness classes to promote physical readiness and community among its members. Senior Airman Samantha Merck and Senior Airman Crystal Woodberry, both assigned to the 169th Force Support Squadron, began offering these classes in March 2026.

The program includes Boot Camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment prep on Wednesdays, and a fitness dance class once a month. Participants can also schedule one-on-one guided fitness sessions by appointment.

Woodberry emphasizes that the environment is a 'judge-free zone' where individuals can challenge themselves without feeling discouraged. She encourages participants to improve while meeting them physically and mentally, building rapport through humor and motivation.

Merck shares Woodberry's goal of creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, capable, and included. She participates in the workouts alongside participants, demonstrating her commitment to empowering individuals to become stronger.
