Groww Brings US Stock Investing to Indian Investors
Groww, India's top stock broker, has launched US stock investing within its app. This feature will allow users to buy and sell US-listed shares from inside the Groww app, with access to over 10,000 stocks and exchange-traded funds.
The list includes popular names such as Google, Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon, and Meta. Fractional investing is also supported, which allows investors to own a slice of a stock instead of buying a whole share. This makes it more accessible for small amounts, as some US companies have shares that cost more than many Indian investors can afford.
The rollout comes after Groww secured its IFSCA license for global investing through GIFT City in July and partnered with Alpaca Securities, a US brokerage infrastructure provider. The feature is currently available to selected customers as part of the beta rollout, but will expand access to all users soon.
